Chapter 1

Naina POV

"Ugh, seriously! If Shivaay does that one more time, I swear I'm going to lose it!" I shouted, flopping onto the couch in our cozy living room. The TV blared in the background, showing a dramatic serial where the heroine Annika had just discovered a shocking family secret. "Like, who doesn't know that the villain is Shivaay's mother? Come on!"

Tara giggled, adjusting her colorful scarf as she walked in from the kitchen with two steaming mugs of chai. "Maybe you should audition for a role in that show, Naina. You'd be perfect! 'Drama Queen Extraordinaire,'" she teased, handing me a mug.

"Please, I'd steal the spotlight in every scene! They'd have to change the show to 'The Adventures of Naina'!" I laughed, taking a sip of my chai. "But let's be real, I'd probably just end up getting kidnapped in every episode. That's how these shows go."

Tara rolled her eyes. "You? Kidnapped? More like you'd charm the kidnappers, and they'd end up letting you go just for the entertainment."

"Exactly! Who could resist this cuteness?" I puffed out my cheeks and batted my eyelashes, making her burst into laughter.

Just then, the door creaked open, and my Chacha (uncle) walked in, looking tired but happy. "Hello, my lovely ladies!" he called out, his voice warm and inviting. "I come bearing news!"

"Good news, I hope!" I replied, jumping up from the couch. "Tell me it's about a surprise vacation or something!"

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Not quite. But I just heard some exciting news at work. Aditya Raichand is getting married!"

My heart skipped a beat at the mention of the Raichand family. "Wait, Aditya? The middle brother? Isn't he dating Riya Sharma, your friend?" I asked Tara.

"Omg! That bitc—" I coughed loudly, making her stop. Tara's eyes widened in horror realizing her dad was in the room. "I mean, why didn't she tell me yet?! I'm gonna kill her!" She exclaimed, her voice a mix of shock and excitement.

Tara grabbed her phone, her fingers hovering over the screen as if she was about to dial Riya's number. "I can't believe she's engaged, and I didn't know! What kind of friend is she?"

Chacha cleared his throat, trying to suppress a smile. "Maybe one who wants to keep the news under wraps until it's official? You know how it goes with these things, right?"

"Still, she should have told me papa!" Tara huffed, pacing the floor. "I mean, we've shared everything since we were kids. I'm going to give her a piece of my mind!"

She grabbed her phone again, her fingers dancing over the screen. After a few rings, I could hear Riya's voicemail. "What? She's not picking up?" Tara exclaimed, exasperated. "Seriously? This is just rude!"

"Don't act so dramatic. Maybe she's busy or something," I said, trying to calm her down. "You know how weddings can be—lots of planning and chaos."

Tara sighed, putting her phone down. "You're right. But I'm definitely going to get the details out of her. She can't just drop a bomb like that and expect me to stay calm!"

"Speaking of bombs, I have an idea," I said, a grin spreading across my face. "What if I become their wedding planner? This is the perfect opportunity to show everyone what I can do!"

Tara's eyes lit up with excitement. "That would be amazing! You could add your own flair to the wedding, and I can help!"

Chacha raised an eyebrow, looking a bit serious. "You think you can handle a high-profile wedding like that? They don't just want any wedding planner, they want the best."

"Exactly! And who better than me?" I shot back with confidence. "I've planned countless parties. Remember the birthday bash I threw for you? It was a hit!"

"True, but this is different," Chacha said, a hint of laughter in his voice. "The Raichands are used to grandeur. Are you ready for that?"

"Bring it on!" I declared, striking a pose like I was ready for a fashion show. "I'm all about high energy, vibrant colors, and unforgettable memories. Just wait until I get my hands on this wedding!"

Tara clapped her hands together, "Let's make this wedding legendary! We'll turn it into a festival of fun!"

Chacha chuckled. "Alright, I'll ask Devraj ji if he's willing to have you as the wedding planner. But remember, he's very particular. You'll need to impress him."

"Don't worry, Chachu! I'll wow him with my ideas! And with your support, we'll make it a wedding to remember!" I exclaimed, practically bouncing on my feet.

As soon as Chacha went to freshen up, Tara and I exchanged an excited look, barely able to contain our excitement.

"This is going to be epic!" I whispered, practically bouncing on my toes.

Tara nodded, her eyes sparkling. "Imagine it, Naina! If we handle the Raichand wedding, we'll be all over social media. Everyone will want us to plan their weddings after this."

I grinned. "We'll have brides fighting to book us. 'Oh, you want a fairy-tale wedding? Sure! Bollywood style? Done! Over-the-top glamour? We've got you covered!'"

She laughed, joining in. "And then, we can expand! Maybe hire more people, get some office space, upgrade from our tiny workspace..."

"Ooh, maybe even travel for destination weddings!" I said, already thinking about beach weddings and royal palaces. "Can you imagine us in Goa, setting up some dreamy sunset wedding?"

Tara practically squealed. "Yes! And think about all the themes we could do. Royal, vintage... even those fancy ones with floral walls and all that glam!"

I nudged her, chuckling. "We'll be known as the queens of wedding planning! And, we'll get to boss people around!"

Tara playfully rolled her eyes. "You already boss everyone around, Naina."

I feigned a gasp. "Excuse me! I just guide people to my genius vision. Anyway, this Raichand wedding is our big chance. If we impress them, we're set."

"Exactly," she said, her excitement matching mine. "This could be our ticket to making our business the talk of the town!"

I grinned. "We're going to take this wedding to a whole new level, Tara. Just wait and watch."

Just then, Tara's phone rang, and she glanced at the screen. Her face lit up. "It's Riya! Oh, she finally decided to call, huh?" she said with a dramatic eye-roll, answering the call. "Well, well, if it isn't Miss 'I'm-getting-married-and-forgot-my-best-friend' Sharma!"

I could hear Riya laughing on the other end. "Alright, alright! I was going to tell you, but things happened so fast!" she said, her voice bubbling with happiness. "Aditya proposed, Tara! It was so magical!"

"Girl, you better spill every single detail! And don't even think of skipping the romantic stuff," Tara insisted, a huge grin on her face.

Riya laughed again. "It was beautiful. Aditya took me out to this gorgeous spot, and we talked about our future, and then he just... asked. I can't even describe it. It felt perfect, like it was meant to be."

Tara clutched her heart, pretending to swoon. "Oh my god, that is so dreamy! Naina and I were just talking about it, wondering when you'd finally spill the beans."

I took the chance to jump in. "And guess what, Riya? We asked Chachu to put in a good word for us as your wedding planners to Devraj uncle! We want to plan your big day, make it unforgettable!"

"Really? Oh my god, that's the best idea ever!" Riya exclaimed, her excitement matching ours. "I'll definitely tell Aditya about it! I'd love to have you both handle everything. No one else would understand my style better."

Tara and I shared a high-five, our smiles so wide they could light up the whole room. "Riya, we're going to make this the wedding of the year," I said confidently.

"I'm counting on you!" Riya laughed. "Let's make it beautiful, personal, and totally us. I can't wait to see what you both come up with!"

As we ended the call, Tara and I could barely contain our excitement. This was our chance, a golden opportunity to turn our dreams into reality.
