Aarav POV
The morning buzzed with the aroma of fresh parathas and chai as I took my usual seat at the breakfast table. Aditya was already there, looking tired but cheerful as he absentmindedly tapped on his phone. Dadaji, of course, was beaming, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"At last," Dadaji said, practically bursting with enthusiasm, "we'll have some proper celebrations in this house. Finally, a lady in the Raichand family! Soon enough, little grandchildren running all over the place, filling this home with life!"
Aditya immediately choked on his tea, turning pink while trying to catch his breath. I, on the other hand, hid my smile behind my own cup, watching the scene with amusement.
"Dadaji, aren't you moving a bit fast?" Aditya managed to say, coughing slightly. "I'm not even married yet!"
"Knowing him, he's probably already planned your children's weddings," I muttered, shaking my head.
"Don't you speak at all!" Dadaji snapped, glaring at me. "You're 27 and not married. Are you planning on living alone forever?"
I shrugged, "Honestly? I'd rather be alone than have my peaceful life disrupted."
Aditya chuckled. "You act like marriage is some kind of punishment, Aarav. It might actually do you some good to loosen up a bit."
"Oh, sure," I replied, rolling my eyes. "Just what I need—someone constantly telling me to 'relax' and dragging me to dinner parties. Sounds like a dream."
Dadaji shook his head, clearly exasperated. "Aarav, beta, you're young! Life is more than just business deals and perfectly planned days. One day, you'll understand how much warmth and joy a family brings."
"Dadaji, I think I'm warm enough," I replied. "Besides, who has time for all that? I'd rather focus on things I can control."
Before Dadaji could launch into his usual lecture about the joys of marriage and family, we heard a familiar, loud yawn from behind. Arjun strolled in, looking like he'd barely survived the night. His hair was a mess, and he was still in his shorts and of course, no top, scratching his head as he plopped into a chair and slumped down.
"Morning, gentlemen," he said, grinning, as he reached over to steal a paratha from my plate.
"Rough night?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Arjun gave a lazy grin, stretching his arms. "Just making sure I'm still the family's social media star. Someone has to keep up the fun side of the Raichands. Can't let you all ruin our image with your serious faces."
Dadaji shook his head, chuckling. "You mean our image as a respectable family? I am scared to think about what you'll turn Aditya's wedding into. Are you planning to sleep through that too, or just live-stream your every yawn?"
Arjun shot back, "Oh please, Dada! My presence alone will take this wedding from zero to viral. And I don't sleep through weddings—I just, you know, meditate with my eyes closed. I call it 'visualizing the vibes.'"
I rolled my eyes. "The only vibe you're visualizing is a nap. The last wedding we went to, you were out cold before they even served the appetizers."
"That's because I don't waste my energy on the boring stuff, bhai. I'm saving my strength for the dance floor. Watch, I'm going to pull moves so good they'll go down in Raichand history."
Dadaji laughed, shaking his head. "Or you'll pull a muscle."
"Hey! I've got rhythm, Dada. Remember at Rohan's wedding? They practically begged me to do an encore," Arjun said with a proud smirk.
Aditya snorted. "Pretty sure they were begging you to stop. You nearly took out the buffet table with that last 'freestyle' move of yours."
Arjun put a hand over his heart, pretending to be offended. "Wow, zero faith in my abilities. Clearly, this family doesn't appreciate true talent."
Dadaji waved him off, grinning. "Talent? I'm just hoping you don't turn Aditya's wedding into a circus."
Arjun winked, grabbing a paratha. "A circus, Dada? I prefer to call it 'entertainment with a touch of chaos.' Relax, you're going to thank me when this wedding goes viral!"
Aditya looked at him, horrified. "Viral? No, thank you! I'd want this wedding to go peacefully, without any of your 'chaotic entertainment,' if you don't mind."
Arjun clutched his chest dramatically. "Peacefully? Adi, you're killing my spirit here! Next, you'll be telling me you want a no-dance policy or something."
"Actually..." Aditya raised an eyebrow, smirking just to mess with him.
"Please, spare me! The Raichands deserve some fun," Arjun said, pointing a finger at Aditya. "People want a wedding they'll remember! Think colors, think excitement!"
Dadaji laughed. "With you around, you'll be the most colorful thing there—until we have to drag you off the dance floor."
"Don't worry, Dada. I'll keep my 'entertainment with a touch of chaos' in check," Arjun said with a cheeky grin. "But I refuse to sit back and let you boring folks ruin my brother's big day."
"Arjun, the only thing getting ruined will be my sanity," Aditya sighed, shaking his head.
Just then, before Arjun could go on about how dull they all were, Manish uncle entered.
"Good morning, everyone!" he greeted warmly, standing beside Dadaji. "And I hear talk of wedding plans already?"
Arjun smirked. "Oh, you missed it, Uncle! Adi is planning a 'classy and calm' wedding, while I'm trying to save it from becoming a corporate seminar."
Dadaji chuckled. "Yes, Aditya wants everything calm and smooth, but Arjun's set on keeping things lively."
Aditya sighed, rolling his eyes. "I just want things to go well. The last thing we need is Arjun's big show."
Manish laughed. "Well, a balance would be nice. Maybe Arjun can add his excitement while Aditya keeps us on track."
Arjun grinned. "See, Manish Uncle gets it! You all need my 'special touch' for this wedding. Without me, it's just a fancy dinner party."
Aditya sighed but smiled. "Fine, fine. Just don't turn it into a circus."
Dadaji raised his hand. "Enough of the circus talk! Manish, did you manage to find us a wedding planner?"
Before Manish uncle could respond, Aditya jumped in, "Actually, Riya suggested that your daughters handle it, Uncle. She thinks they'd be perfect for the job."
Manish's face brightened. "Yes, Devraj ji, that's exactly what I wanted to discuss! My daughters, Naina and Tara, are both talented planners. They're full of creative ideas, and when it comes to work, they're serious and responsible."
Dadaji's eyes lit up. "Naina and Tara, hmm? I like this idea! But, Manish, you've been working for me for years, and I still haven't met those girls. You've kept them hidden all this time!"
I sighed, feeling the familiar weight of responsibility settle on my shoulders. "I trust your judgment, Manish Uncle, but this is my brother's wedding. Are Naina and Tara experienced enough to handle something this big?"
Dadaji rolled his eyes and playfully nudged me. "You're always so serious, Aarav! You should relax a little. Manish's daughters will do great. Maybe they'll even help you stop worrying about every little thing!"
I raised an eyebrow, not convinced. "You know how I feel about everything being perfect, Dadaji. I can't help it if I want things to go smoothly."
Arjun, with his usual mischievous grin, jumped in. "Or they might just turn this wedding into a circus after all! With you around, Bhai, they'll have to keep things lively!"
Dadaji leaned back in his chair, a smile creeping onto his face. "That's true, but a little fun wouldn't hurt either. Besides, it's not like you're the one getting married."
Aditya chuckled, clearly amused by our banter. "Exactly! Let's let them do their job. If Riya trusts them, we should too."
Manish uncle added in, "Listen, Aarav beta, my daughters might be lively and full of energy, but they're also incredibly responsible. They take their work seriously and know how to handle big events. Trust me, they've got this."
I nodded slowly, considering their words. "Alright, if you both think they can handle it, then I'll give them a chance. But I want to be involved every step of the way."
Dadaji clapped his hands together. "Now that's the spirit! Manish, tell your daughters they have our approval. Let's make this wedding memorable!"
Just then, the door swung open, and I heard Arjun's voice drifting down the hallway. "Wait until you see my dance moves! I'm going to steal the show!"
I shake my head. Arjun was all talk and no action when it came to actual responsibility.
Dadaji chuckled again. "Well, if anyone can make a splash, it's Arjun. Just remember, beta, we don't want any disasters."
"Disasters? With Arjun involved? Please, that's practically guaranteed," I muttered under my breath.
